Community, Cakes & Conversations at the Melksham Food & River Festival
Last weekend, the Melksham Homecare team had the pleasure of attending the Melksham Food & River Festival, and what a fantastic weekend it was. From setting up our stand first thing in the morning to meeting so many wonderful people throughout the day, it was a brilliant opportunity to connect with the local community that we are proud to serve. We were delighted to offer a selection of homemade cakes, chat with visitors, and share a little more about the care and support we provide across Melksham and the surrounding areas.
One of the highlights of the day was welcoming the Carnival Queen to our stand, who kindly stopped by to enjoy some of our cakes. It was lovely to be part of such a vibrant community event and see so many people enjoying everything the festival had to offer.
We were especially touched when Max, a former client, came along to say hello. After supporting Max following his surgery, it was wonderful to see him doing so well and enjoying the festival. Hearing him thank our team for the care and support he received reminded us why we do what we do and the difference quality home care can make during recovery.
Another special moment came when one of our current clients and their family stopped by our stand for a chat. Seeing familiar faces out and about in the community is always a pleasure, and it reinforces the strong relationships we build with the people we support and their loved ones.
